The first “Lunch in the Square” of the season will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Veterans Square.

Entertainment will be provided by the Bradford Area High School Jazz Ensemble and Chorale.

At press time, participating restaurants included Chu Lee Gardens, John William’s European Pastry Shop, A Slice of the 80’s, Chef’s 117 and La Mixteca.

“We are very excited for our first Lunch in the Square of the year,” said Main Street Manager Chelsea Schwab. “Lunch in the Square is a favorite event in downtown Bradford. It is a nice way to mix up your lunch break once a month and enjoy some great food, live music, and nice weather.”

Schwab said there will be increased seating this year so those taking part can spread out more.

“We also have an excellent selection of restaurants and great entertainment lined up for the season,” Schwab said. “We expect a great turnout for our first lunch and I hope to see many new and returning faces this Wednesday.”

Sponsored by the Downtown Bradford Business District Authority, Lunch in the Square will also be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 8; July 13; Aug. 10; and Sept. 14.
