A Bradford man will face a preliminary hearing later this month on allegations that he threatened someone in the lobby of Magisterial District Judge Dom Cercone’s Bradford office.
Jeremy Michael Morey, 34, of 3 Belleview Ave. — not the director of the McKean County Planning Commission, who is Jeremy S. Morey — is charged with terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; harassment, a summary; and disorderly conduct, a summary offense.
Court records said at 9:40 a.m. April 6, Morey approached another man and threatened to shoot him. Bradford City Police Assistant Chief Michael Ward took Morey out of the building, at which time Morey said he believed the other man is a child abuser and he didn’t want him around his young son. Morey said he threatened the other man, saying he would “cap his a–,” but that he didn’t own a gun and wouldn’t actually follow through with the threat, the records read.
Morey remains free on $5,000 unsecured bail. A hearing has been set for 9 a.m. May 18 before Cercone.
