MOUNT JEWETT — The Mount Jewett Swedish Festival continues today and Sunday.

Today

9 a.m. – Children’s bike race for ages 3 to 12 at at the former Keystone Building, sponsored by Mount Jewett Area Ambulance Association.

10:30 to 11 a.m. – Alberta’s Pie Contest entries will be accepted at the Boy Scout Booth.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Nebo Chapel open house and Swedish Meatball Contest at Heritage Park Gazebo

Noon – Mount Jewett fire hall chicken barbecue

Noon to 3 p.m. – St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church smorgasbord

Noon to 4 p.m. – Car & Bike Show at Community Park

Noon to 5 p.m., then 6 to 10 p.m. – Amusement rides on Center Street

Noon to 7 p.m. – MEET-U-Trailer, mobile energy education training, at the Derrick Club next to the library

Noon to 9 p.m. – Face-painting by Kristin Vale on Center Street.

12:30 p.m. – Maypole dance on the lawn of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, followed by the Crown Gospel Band.

1 to 9 p.m. – Magician Dewayne Hill roaming Center Street

1 to 2 p.m. – The Scandinavian Band on the Center Street stage

1 to 3 p.m. – Jockular the Juggler roaming

1 to 3 p.m. – Kid’s crafts take place on the lawn at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.

1:30 to 2:30 p.m. – Twin Tiers Band at Heritage Park Gazebo

2 to 3 p.m. – Celebration Bells at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church

2 to 3 p.m. – McKean County Fair queen contestants will take the Center Street stage

3 to 4:30 p.m. – The Power Band on Center Street stage

5 p.m. – Parade

6 to 6:30 p.m. – Jr. King & Queen contest on Center Street stage

6:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Alberta’s Pie Auction and announcement of winners

8 to 11 p.m. – He Said She Said on the Center Street Stage

9:30 p.m. – Fireworks

9 p.m. to midnight – Johnny & the Homewreckers in the beer tent at the fire hall

3:30 p.m. – Free ice cream eating contest at the Mount Jewett Family Tastee Freeze

3:30 to 4:30 p.m. – Family Feud on the Center Street stage

5 to 6 p.m. – J.I.M. Band n the Center Street stage

6 p.m. – Closing ceremonies, including the announcement of the baby contest winners, teen queen crown and raffle winners
