Smethport EC — Beginning today, Sun Air Express, the commuter airline providing daily flights between Bradford and Pittsburgh since March 1, introduces an additional special low-fare ticket program, “Flying Friends and Families,” according to Mark Cestari, the company’s vice-president, marketing, who spoke with The Era Saturday during a brief interview at “Wings Over Bradford.”
For up to six passengers booked on the same itinerary, the one-way fare for one passenger is the regular $29; two can fly for a total of $39, three can fly for a total of $49, and so on,” Cestari said. “These special fares start Monday I every market except between Lancaster and Pittsburgh.”
This is in addition to the airline’s popular “Sun Air ExpressPacks,” which mean a savings on one-way tickets for frequent flyers. While the regular one-way fare is $29, “Sun Air ExpressPacks” are available in lots of ten for $250, 20 for $450 and 50 for $1,000.
These low fares have led to a marked increase in passenger traffic at Bradford.
Cestari also commented on several other topics about Sun Air Express service. “We have invested much money to enhance our reservation system, making it easier to use from the customers’ perspective,” he noted. “Our new customer care center opened in April, and now all calls are handled by skilled personnel between 5:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.”
Also, with a consistent marketing campaign, Sun Air Express has established channels of communication with community partners, such as chambers of commerce, and hotels for quick responses to accommodate customers.
“Sun Air Express uses a general survey with a scale of one to ten for our customers to mention one area where they think we can improve our service, and we apply our resources accordingly,” Cestari said.
