Poet laureate Philip Levine dies at age 87

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Philip Levine, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet whose intimate portraits of blue-collar life were grounded in personal experience and political conscience, died Saturday. Levine was 87.
