Gas prices drop six cents across region

PITTSBURGH — Bradford motorists are paying an average of $2.367 a gallon for unleaded, self-serve gasoline at the pump this week, according to the American Automobile Association’s Fuel Gauge Report.

Elsewhere across the region, the average price for gas stands at $2.281 a gallon, a drop of six cents from last week, AAA officials said. Nationwide, the average price for gas continues to march toward $2 a gallon and has fallen for a record 123 consecutive days. While the streak of daily declines in the national averages continues, the rate of decline has slowed in recent days, AAA officials said. The slowing decline has been largely reflective of a number of midwestern states where prices have moved higher over the past week due to a series of refinery issues in the region.

The following is a list of the average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in various areas: $2.175, Altoona; $2.241, Brookville; $2.203, Clarion; $2.284, DuBois; $2.149, Erie; $2.316, Indiana; $2.321, Kittanning; $2.267, Meadville; $2.310, Pittsburgh; and $2.308, Warren.
