PITTSBURGH — Bradford area motorists are paying an average of $2.810 a gallon for unleaded, self-serve gasoline this week, according to the American Automobile Association’s Fuel Gauge Report.
Elsewhere across the region, the average price for gas stands at $2.801 a gallon, which is 10 cents less than a week ago, AAA officials said. Nationwide, the average price is $2.55 a gallon, which is the lowest price in more than five years. AAA officials said the average price at the pump is more than a dime less than one week ago and more than a quarter less than a month ago. The national average is down 69 cents from this same date last year and has now dropped on 81 consecutive days for a total of 80 cents during this stretch.
