Five suspects were nabbed throughout the Bradford area on Wednesday by the McKean County Drug Task Force on allegations they were delivering drugs.
Arrested were Amber Lynn Bunce, 32, of 169 South Ave., Bradford; Shawna N. Gault, 20, of 6 Foster View Drive, Bradford; Phillip Michael Haight, 31, of 116 W. Washington St., Bradford; Toni Lucille Taylor, 58, of 34 South Ave., Apt. 7, Bradford; and Jennifer L. Ryder, 33, of Bradford
“The drug task force has several arrests to make in the coming months,” said McKean County district attorney Raymond Learn on Wednesday. “This is just the start of it.”
Bunce was arrested on drug charges in three separate cases and arraigned for two of them before Magisterial District Judge Dominic Cercone and for the third before Magisterial District Judge Richard Luther. Court records stated that she’s charged in all three cases with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
According to Learn, on Feb. 21, Bunce “sold seven Vicodin pills to a confidential informant working with the McKean County Drug Task Force,” then on March 14, she sold one buprenorphine strip — Suboxone — to a confidential informant.
Bunce is incarcerated in McKean County Jail in Smethport in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Haight was arraigned before Cercone on charges in two separate cases. He’s charged in both cases with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, according to court records.
Court records indicated that on June 21, Haight sold two films of Suboxone to a confidential informant; then on June 25, he sold one film of Suboxone to a confidential informant. He was committed to jail in lieu of a total of $20,000 bail for both cases.
Gault was arraigned before Luther on charges of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, court records stated.
Learn reported that on March 15, Gault “sold a quarter ounce of marijuana to a confidential informant.” She was committed to jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Ryder was arraigned before Luther on charges of selling a non-controlled substance represented as a controlled substance, a felony; and criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony, court records indicated.
According to court records, Ryder is charged in an alleged incident that took place June 25 in Bradford City. She was committed to jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Taylor was arraigned before Cercone on a charge of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, court records stated.
Court records stated that on July 1, Taylor sold two morphine pills to a confidential informant. She was released, having paid 10 percent of $2,000 bail.
All five have preliminary hearings dates scheduled for Nov. 20 in Central Court.
Still at large as of press time Wednesday night was Randy Skaggs, 21, previously of 46 Bedford St., Bradford, who is wanted on an alleged incident in Bradford Township. He is charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, court records stated.
According to Learn, on March 15, “Skaggs sold a quarter ounce of marijuana to a confidential informant working with the McKean County Drug Task Force. Skaggs still has an active warrant for this sale, and was not located today (Wednesday).”
