RIDGWAY — Continuous Metal Technology Inc. of Ridgway has purchased Northern Powdered Metal Inc., company officials announced on Monday.
Continuous Metal is a leader in the powdered metal components and specialty industry. The new acquisition will enable the company to increase its ability to service new and current customers in an improved, more efficient manner, officials said.
Dave Chittester will take over as operations manager for the company.
Continuous Metal has been serving the powdered metal industry since 1995, and has an in-house engineering department capable of design and development from concept to full product. The company also produces a family of environmentally friendly, lead-free outdoor products under the name of TomBob Outdoors LLC, which produces a national television broadcast adventure series which is presented by Continuous Metal called Friends in Wild Places. The show airs each week in more than 100 million homes across North America on Discovery Communications network (Destination America) and Pursuit Channel. It educates viewers on powdered metal through ads featuring Continuous Metal, but also drives the awareness of the powdered metal industry and how powdered metal components are a part of everyone’s daily lives.
