EMPORIUM — Cameron County couldn’t score a victory over any of its four Allegheny Mountain South Division foes to start the season. It can’t lose to opponents from the North.
The Red Raiders continued their division dominance with a 40-7 victory over Coudersport on Friday night.
The win clinched the AML North Division title for Cameron County, which has outscored North opponents 139-43 over the last four weeks.
The Red Raiders will host South champion Ridgway two weeks from tonight in the AML title game. The Elkers won the regular season meeting 42-7 in Week 2.
Caleb Burnside rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns while adding an interception to help Cameron County (4-4) pull away from Coudersport (1-7) in the second half.
An Anderson Nicka TD run in the second quarter tied the score for the Falcons, but the Red Raiders tallied the final 33 points.
Rusty Setzer added 105 on the ground and Keith Spehalski threw for 156 yards and a 31-yard score to Erin Garrigan for Cameron.
