LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. — Authorities have seized suspected methamphetamine from a Little Valley home where the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force reported a “large scale methamphetamine manufacturing operation” was located.
According to the task force, investigators had ascertained that Little Valley resident Lucas S. Leclerc, 32, was operating the lab at 102 South Court.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol received information on Sunday about the lab, and a search warrant was executed at 9 a.m. Monday, the task force indicated.
The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team helped to collect evidence and clean up the hazardous materials, and the Little Valley Fire Department and Cattaraugus County Emergency Services assisted, too.
The task force reported, “As a result of the search investigators seized numerous pieces of lab equipment, precursors, reagents, solvents and surveillance equipment,” as well as “approximately 14.8 ounces of methamphetamine.”
The federal Drug Enforcement Agency office in Buffalo will prosecute the case in federal court.
Leclerc, who was committed to Cattaraugus County Jail in Little Valley, is awaiting arraignment in Buffalo Federal Court. No bail has been set, according to the task force.
