SMETHPORT — Bill Rote carded a score of 74 to win the low gross portion of the championship flight of the Hamlin Bank Open at Smethport Country Club on Sunday.
Ralph Mitchell won the low net title with a score of 68. Second low net went to Carl Defilippi (69). Skeet Stoughton claimed third low net (71).
Dan McCann shot 83 to win the low gross first flight. Mike Sample (68) won the low net event. Lance Looker (72) and Roy Regis (72) challenged.
Second flight low gross winner was Dale Parry (92). Dan Waugaman (71) won the low net title. Greg Bell (71) and Bob Funk (71) challenged.
Course prizes went to Larry Schneller (closest 2nd shot on hole 4, 9’7’’), McCann (closest to pin hole 5, 13’’), Jack Blackwell (closest to pin 9, 3’6’’), Al Chapman (longest drive on hole 10), Nick Sample (closest to pin 14, 9’5’’) and Dave Kitchen (closest to pin 18, 5’8’’).
Skins winners were McCann (hole 5), Parry (hole 9), Defilippi (hole 13), Joel Parana (hole 15), Rote (hole 16) and Chuck Bell (hole 17).
