SMETHPORT — Members of the Smethport Area High School Class of 2014 were recognized for their scholastic achievements at the school’s 34th annual academic awards banquet, which is coordinated by the guidance department.
For the past 13 years, a growing number of community members and businesses have joined the list of the long-standing scholarship donors, enabling that amount to grow from an initial $4,250 in 2001 to this year’s total of $36,925, according to high school principal Robert Miller.
