PORT ALLEGANY — Kent Costello went 4-for-5 with a double as Oswayo Valley earned a 10-0 win over Port Allegany Friday.

On the mound, the Green Wave pitchers were able to keep the Gators (2-5) at bay. Keagen Goodliff (3 innings, 2 strikeouts, 1 walk), Coby Krajewski (2 innings, 2 strikeouts, 1 walk) and Dylan Buchholz (1 inning, 2 strikeouts, 1 walk) combined on the shutout to improve their mark to 7-1.

Garrett Talkington (2 1/3 innings) and Chad Gaines (4 2/3 innings) combined to strike out 11 and walk four for Port.

“Oswayo Valley is a very good team and they did a lot of things right tonight,” said Port Allegany coach Nate Zitnik.

Also for OV, Kent Costello and Goodliff doubled and Garrett Babcock tripled.

The Gators begin a four-game week against Smethport Monday.
