KANE — Zook Motors Inc. in Kane is among an elite group of Ford and Lincoln dealerships to be recognized with the 2013 President’s Award by Ford Motor Co.

The award honors dealerships that have excelled in automotive retailing in 2013 by providing exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Only 10 percent of the dealerships in the country are awarded with the recognition.  

“Earning this award is a reflection of our entire staff’s commitment to delivering the best customer experience possible in the sales, parts and service departments” said Susan Zook Wilson, owner of Zook Motors Inc. “I couldn’t be more proud to receive this recognition, especially since it comes from the people we value most — our customers. They’re the reason we were able to achieve this award.”

The President’s Award was established in 1998. Dealers become eligible through survey responses from customers related to their sales and service satisfaction. Zook Motors has been presented with the President’s Award 12 times. 

Officials said in order to achieve the President’s Award, dealers must exceed customer expectations every day in every department.

In 2013, Zook Motors also was presented with the ONEFordElite award which recognizes the very best of the best of the President’s Award winners in the country. Only the top 153 dealerships out of more than 3,500 in the U.S. receive the award because they have offered the highest level of sales and service experiences to their customers. This is the second time that Zook Motors has received the prestigious ONEFordElite recognition.
