A young male student and the bus driver, a Bradford woman, were evaluated for injuries and released after a commercial truck rear-ended a school bus around 4:10 p.m. Tuesday on West Washington Street near its intersection with Kloss Lane, according to Bradford Township police chief Robb Shipman.
Shipman said the bus driver, Ann Colestro of Bradford, and the young boy both complained of whiplash and were evaluated by Bradford City ambulance personnel.
The other vehicle was a commercial truck operated by Pat Yohe of Bradford and belonging to CJ Morris Drilling, according to Shipman.
He said charges are pending against the truck driver pending completion of the investigation.
The elementary school students on the bus were transferred to another bus and taken home after the incident, according to Shipment.
He said the bus sustained moderate damage and the truck was severely damaged and towed from the scene.
