Jim McFetridge of Smethport took a winter vacation trip to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., went on a cruise, and then traveled north through Sebring and Haines City before pausing in St. Augustine. There, Jim and his wife, Linda, both retired teachers, took a trolley ride around the historic city, the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the United States.
One trolley stop was at a replica of an old general store that contained merchandise from bygone days.
