SNOW TUNNEL: The mention of birds burrowing in the snow reminds us of a program Cliff Hastings gave a couple years ago about Rew in its heyday. Cliff showed a variety of photos, including one from the early 1900s when the snow was so deep on the main street that people traveled through a “tunnel” in the snow to get through town.
