BOOK REPORT: “In one year, 85 percent of the nation’s oil production came from the Bradford fields. Even though larger fields were discovered elsewhere, Bradford remained an oil hub because its oil was rich in paraffin, an ideal lubricant.”

So writes Joe Hurley in, “Ten Million Steps on Route 6,” a newly published book which includes McKean and Potter counties as the author made his way westward.
