LILLIAN MEZZELO: We remember well the “early days” of the ELF
Fund when a few key supporters helped make the Christmas giving
program an important part of our community. One of those was
Lillian Mezzelo, a Zippo employee at the time, lent not just her
compassion — but her passion — to the fledging organization. She
spoke and acted straight from the heart. She died over the
Thanksgiving holiday and we wanted to recognize her contribution to
the Era’s Less Fortunate program which is now in its 28th year. Our
condolences to her family.
