BRADFORD TUNE: “So, I’m going back to Bradford to the county of
McKean
To the State of Pennsylvania to the towns of which I dream
Yes, I’m going back to Tarport, Derrick City, Duke, and Rew
Sure I’m going back next August, so are you, and you and
you.”
That’s the chorus to “Back to Bradford,” apparently written for Old
Home Week and Centennial in 1925. Alene (Lee) Sage of Bradford
found the sheet music at her former home in Red Rock and sent it
along. Lyrics were by Joseph A. Riley; music by Mary J. Bradley.
The sheet music cost 30 cents.
