BOOK NOTES: We should all be able to relate to this year’s One
Book Bradford selection – “The Children’s Blizzard” by David
Laskin.
This non-fiction account of a major snowstorm that took the
people living in the Dakota Territory completely by surprise is
very different from last year’s “City of Light,” One Book
Bradford’s first selection.
And, so, the organizers have come up with a quiz tailored to the
2008 choice. You’ll find all the answers as you read “the
Children’s Blizzard,” they tell us. But as a blizzard-blistered
Bradfordian, you should also do quite well just by calling on local
