STAY HERE: Thinking about going out for dinner and a movie? Why
not stay in Bradford?

Many good restaurants are available in Bradford and, as for the
movies, the Main Street Movie House is a first-class theater.

We mention this today because we’ve heard that the Movie House
is having some financial problems due to a lack of attendance.

We simply don’t understand that.

Are you aware that the theater is owned by Bradford City – not
by a chain company or any private firm – and that any money earned
is returned to Main Street for improvements?

If you’ve ever been in there, you know it has a state-of-the-art
sound system. It is very clean, the seats are roomy, and its
employees are friendly.

The ticket prices are cheaper then other area theaters and so
are the concessions. And, let’s not forget how the high price of
gasoline pumps up the price of traveling to another community to
see the same movie.

The shows are advertised in the local paper (that’s us) which is
more convenient for non-computer people. (Online, check Dipson
theaters website.)

The Main Street Movie House has the only independent film series
in the area. When we’ve attended these special showings, the
theater has been packed.

Did you know that the theater is also available for rental of
parties such as birthday parties etc.? – something no other theater
in the area does.

Of course, the local theater only has two screens so it can only
open two shows on the national opening at a time. But any other
major film does show in Bradford within two to three weeks of its
opening.

Finally, think of what downtown Bradford would be like without a
movie theater. In many ways, it’s the hub of Main Street.

A dedicated group of people worked hard to keep a theater in
Bradford, renovating the old building into a clean and modern
structure. It has first-run and first-rate shows in a comfortable
setting. And, best of all, you don’t have to drive far to get to
it!

All you have to do is go to the movies, sit back and enjoy.
