Bradford High won four of five singles matches en route to an
8-1 win over Elk County Catholic in boys tennis Thursday.
The win gave the Owls (3-6) a season sweep of the Crusaders.
“From top to bottom we played solid,” BAHS coach Mark Sherman
said.
Adam Feura, Shawn Disney, Bryan Hannon and Tom Taylor picked up
singles wins.
“We had five strong singles matches,” Sherman noted. “This match
was a lot closer than the score indicated. Elk has a very nice
team. We were fortunate the ball went our way.”
In addition, the Owls swept all four doubles matches.
Bradford travels to St. Marys on Tuesday.
