BIGFOOT?: Input abounds on that “creature” spied on the
Allegheny National Forest that has been variously identified as a
bear with mange, a fisher, a “baby bigfoot,” a dog.
When the story and photograph ran in the paper Friday, it
triggered a torrent of feedback from readers – including the
Pennsylvania Game Commission spokesman Jerry Feaser who put forward
the notion that it was a bear with mange.
Once our story was featured online over the weekend, our
e-mailbox was crammed. Here’s some of the comments:
James Sanders of Lake Milton, Ohio, writes: “It is a black beer
– looks like it has same sickness as some of deer in WV. Some
people call it black tounge (or something like that). If so they
have to treat it fast before other animals get it.”‘
Josh McNamara of Butler: “This past weekend, I visited my
uncle’s camp in the village of Westline. He told me about the
‘Bigfoot’ picture, so naturally I had to see it for myself. I am by
no means an expert on anything of this nature, but the image looks
like a man, bending over at the waist to pick an object up, putting
all his weight on the front leg. The image is in night vision, so
that does not help matter either. I hope all the ‘researchers’ find
something to give us an answer as to what it is.”
Dave of Pittsburgh, “On the Sasquatch story: I’ve found that
those stories of sightings are fake when the ‘photographic proof’
is not openly available.”
Bill writes: “I would like to just leave a note to thank The
Bradford Era for having the integrity to cover the Bigfoot story.
We really enjoyed it being the Halloween season and all. I
especially like the part the second day when the game commission
was mad, they have been making all of us mad for years! Hooray to
The Bradford Era!
Zack says: “For your information, the ‘idea’ of Sasquatch has
already been revealed. Have you seen the Jack Links Beef Jerky
Commercial? Or, possibly the ‘Sasquatch’s’ are getting ready to
rebel since Jack Link’s Beef Jerky Co. will just not leave them
alone by ‘messing’ with Sasquatch and not treating them with
‘benevolence.’ Give me a break. Do you have any more of the stuff
you are smoking because I, too, want to see a ‘Sasquatch’?
