EAST SMETHPORT – Jeff Chesebro of Smethport was the big winner
of the night at McKean County Raceway on Saturday, capturing the
Darwin Snyder Memorial in the Super Stocks race.
Chesebro took over the lead late in the race after Randy Hall’s
car lost its left rear tire and axle. The win was Chesebro’s first
of the season.
Jon Lichy was second followed by Matt Cobb, Steve Dixon and Dan
Cobb. Dixon and Chesebro won heats, while Hall won the Australian
Pursuit.
Todd Andrews repeated his opening night win in the FASTRAK Late
Models. Andrews turned back the challenge of Greg Oakes for the
win. John Lacki was third followed by John Haggerty and Jon Law.
Oakes and Andrews were heat winners.
Rich Michael Jr. picked up his first E-Mod win, holding off Ryan
Bright. The win was the second of the season for Michael at MCR.
Tim Peterson, Vic Vena and John Woodward Jr. rounded out the top
five. Travis Asel and Peterson were heat winners.
Bruno Mowery notched his first Street Stock win of the year,
holding off Damon Lewis at the checkers. Jeff Hellwig was third
followed by Leon Gardner and Chris Austin. Justin Tatlow, Mowery
and Derrick Frances won heats. Hellwig won the consolation.
Dave Burdick won easily over Steve Mowery in the Mini Stocks
race. Daniel Cunningham was third followed by Justin Yohe and
Donnie Clemens. Mowery and Norm Varner won heats.
Barry Mushaweck would repeat his opening night win in the Pure
Stocks, beating Pat Yohe, Scott Fuller and Josh Keith.
