CLEARFIELD – Cody Nuzzo and Nick Johnson were triple winners in
Bradford’s 121-29 track and field win over the Clearfield Bisons on
Tuesday.
Nuzzo was on all three relays (400, 1600, 3200), while Johnson
won the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles and was on the 400 relay.
Johnson added a second place in the triple jump (38’5″, personal
best).
Jared Feura (3200 relay, 1600 relay), Rich Bartlebaugh (3200
relay, 1600 relay), Colton Langianese (400 dash, 1600 relay), Rob
Bleem (shot put, discus) and Ben Walter (200 dash, 400 relay)
doubled for the Owls (4-0).
Johnson had a personal best in the 100 hurdles (15.5). Other
personal bests were turned in by Matt Teribery (100, 11.2), Garrett
McEwen (100, 11.3), Langianese (100, 11.9), Shroy Mukerjee (100,
11.9), Ben Walter (200, 23.8), Bartlebaugh (200, 23.9), Langianese
(200, 24.1), Langianese (400, 51.0, top 10 all-time at BAHS),
Bartlebaugh (400, 51.7), Steve Reinhardt (shot put, 48′), C.J.
Mackey (discus, 124’2″), Ryan Mongillo (discus, 119′), Devon Swatt
(discus, 109’1″), Vince Pascarella (discus, 94’3″), Tyree Bennett
(triple jump, 39’1″) and John Karrasch (3200, 11:10).
“Some of our younger guys got a chance to score some points,”
Bradford coach Tom Tessena said. “We also gave the distance guys
some speed work. They all ran well.”
Tessena noted Mukerjee sustained a leg injury in the 200 dash,
“but I think he will be OK,” the coach said.
“It was a tough day on the distance guys because it was hot and
humid,” Tessena concluded. “Our young distance runners did
well.”
The Owls complete the regular season Thursday hosting Kane in a
make-up meet.
