CLEARFIELD – The Bradford High girls track and field team
survived a “surprisingly hot” afternoon and put away Clearfield
104-46 Tuesday.
“It got real hot fast,” BAHS coach Larry Stillman said. “It was
very hot. We just tried to get through the meet. It was a good
tune-up for districts.”
Leading the Lady Owls (4-0) were triple winners Lindsay Sherman
(400 relay, 1600 relay, 400 dash) and Chloe Nickel (300 hurdles,
400 relay, 1600 relay).
Doubling for Bradford were Tricia Copeland (100, 400 relay),
Alexa Wilton (100 hurdles, 200), Liz Keller (3200 relay, 800 run),
Katie White (1600 relay, 3200 relay) and Whitney Cline (javelin,
3200 relay).
“Our throwers had an outstanding day,” Stillman noted. “Katie
Vecellio, Whitney Cline, Brooke Milbrandt and Nicole Coppella all
threw very well.
“Our sprinters looked good. Tricia Copeland had a personal best
in the 100 (12.6). Liz Keller had another good day.
“All three relays looked good. The jumps were a little better.
Erica and Britani both jumped well as did Megan Race in the long
jump. In the hurdles, Chloe and Alexa had good days as did Bobbi
Hopkins in the 100 hurdles.”
The Lady Owls conclude the regular season at Kane on
Thursday.
