ST. MARYS – Bradford High snapped a four-game baseball losing
streak Monday, defeating St. Marys 10-5.
Pacing the Owls (3-8) at the plate were Mike Pascarella (2-run
single), Ryan LaBrozzi (2-for-5, RBI double), Nick Foster (triple),
Jim Milbrandt (solo home run), E.J. Moore (RBI single), Alex
Faucher (3-for-3, 1 RBI) and Taylor O’Brien (2-run single).
Milbrandt picked up the mound win, pitching five innings. He
allowed seven hits, struck out four and walked one. LaBrozzi
pitched one inning, giving up no hits, striking out one and walking
three. Cory Viola threw one inning, allowing no hits, striking out
one and walking none.
Ryan Neal, John Ackley and J.J. Bilodeau were on the hill for
the Dutch (4-10), scattering 11 hits, fanning 10 and walking
four.
Brett Quiggle (2-for-3), Josh Beimel (RBI double) and Ackley
(RBI double) led the Dutch.
“We finally came to play tonight,” Bradford coach Tim Burris
said. “We did well offensively and defensively. The whole lineup
contributed throughout the game.”
Bradford hosts Ridgway on Thursday.
In JV action, the Owls posted a 10-2 win over St. Marys.
