A Lewis Run man was hurt following a one-truck crash at 5:40
a.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 219, South Avenue.
A truck driven by Garrett R. Hollister, 18, and owned by
Christopher Hollister, was traveling south on Route 219 when it
left the road onto the east berm and hit a telephone pole, shearing
it from the ground and causing extensive damage to the driver’s
side of the truck, according to Bradford Township Police.
Police said the truck then continued along the east berm, coming
to final rest about 82 feet from the road, facing east.
Police said Hollister was extricated by Bradford Township first
responders and Bradford City Ambulance personnel. He was flown from
the area by Mercy Flight helicopter to be treated for his injuries.
Police did not indicate what hospital Hollister was taken to or the
extent of his injuries.
The truck was severely damaged and towed from the scene, police
said.
The crash is still under investigation by police.
