KANE – Chloe Nickel and Erica Pascarella led the Bradford Lady
Owls to the team title (141 points) at the Kane Track and Field

Nickel set a meet record in the 300 hurdles (47.15). The
previous record was 47.20 set by Bradford’s Jennifer Tessena in
1995.
Pascarella’s high jump now ranks her in the top five in the
state.
“We had a very good day,” Bradford coach Larry Stillman
declared. “Chloe and Erica had very nice efforts.”
Bradford’s 3200 relay team of Liz Keller, Marissa Buchheit,

“We had many good performances,” Stillman emhpasized. “The
sprinters looked very good. Alexa, Tricia, Lindsay and Steph all
ran well.
“They have been tough all year. Steph Austin has really
improved. Chloe and Alexa dominated the hurdles and Kevryn Boser
(100 hurdles) and Hilary Digel (300 hurdles) improved.
“The distance girls continue to impress. We have lost some good
runners but they just keep coming at you. Paige had avery good day
winning the 800 and being on two winning relays. Liz Keller has
been so good all year and had another personal best in the
1600.
“Marissa Buchheit had her best 3200 by over 30 seconds and Katie
White is improving every time out. Our 4×800 relay time of 10:10 is
very good.
“Our throwers have improved every meet. Katie Vecellio won the
discus with a excellent throw and threw well in the javelin.
Whitney Cline had her best ever javelin to take second and also ran
a solid 800. Brooke Milbrandt was over 30′ again in the shot.
“Our three high jumpers – Erica, Katie Slavinski and Shea Miller
– are as good of group of high jumpers as you will see in the
state. They really push each other.
“Our sprint relays had very good times. The 4×400 is on the
verge on moving into the elite times in the state. But as good as
we looked we have no time to rest.
“We have a very strong Punxsutawney team waiting for us Tuesday
and then the top quality Erie McDowell Invitational on
Saturday.”
