COUDERSPORT – Kristy Kamper poured in a game-high 23 points to
send Coudersport to a 59-50 win over Keystone in the quarterfinals
of the District 9 Class A girls basketball playoffs Thursday.
Jessica Wilson added 16 tallies for the Lady Falcons (24-1), who
are ranked fifth in the state.
“We were a little sluggish to start after a week off,” Coudy
coach Brian Green said. “Keystone is a big team. They are physical
and fast. It took us a while to adjust.”
Kamper had six rebounds, six assists and four steals, Wilson
grabbed five boards and had five steals and Kelly McVay had four
steals.
“Kamper and Wilson had very good games for us,” Green added.
“They took over in the second half.”
Leading Keystone (17-10) was Sam Schwabenbauer (14 points).
Coudersport will play Clarion-Limestone next week in the
semifinals.
