Bradford boy in critical condition at Buffalo, N.Y., hospital
after being run over
A 5-year-old Bradford boy was in critical condition in the
Intensive Care Unit of Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo,
N.Y., Sunday night after being run over by a utility trailer
earlier in the day.
The boy was apparently riding on a trailer, which was being
hauled by a smaller commercial truck, as it was backing into the
driveway of a private residence at 746 Interstate Parkway, owned by
Louis Heinaman, according to Foster Township Police.
At 1:30 p.m., the boy fell from the trailer and was run over by
one of the trailer’s tires, police said. The truck was being
operated by Harry Heinaman, 32, at the time.
Police said the boy, whose identity was not released, suffered
serious internal injuries, and was flown to the hospital in Buffalo
on Sunday afternoon.
The incident is still under investigation, police said.
