A Foster Township snow plow slipped into a ditch off Bolivar
Drive early Monday morning.
No one was injured.
According to Foster Township Police, at 7:15 a.m., a plow truck
driven by Donald Cobb Jr. was eastbound on Bolivar Drive plowing
when it moved over for a westbound school bus and slipped into a
ditch in front of 865 Bolivar Drive.
Foster Township Road Superintendent Joe Sweet said the truck had
to be towed out of the ditch, and all the sand and salt it was
carrying had to be transferred with a back hoe. The truck was
driven back to the shop after the accident, however.
Sweet said the township’s mechanics went over it and found no
serious damage.
The truck was reloaded with the same sand and driven out for
work Monday night, Sweet added.
Foster Township Police, who were on scene, he said, were not
immediately available for further information Monday night.
Sweet said traffic was delayed only about 15 or 20 minutes –
about as long as it took remove the truck from the ditch.
