BUFFALO, N.Y. – Pitt-Bradford shot just 32 percent from the
floor in a 53-34 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss at
Medaille College on Wednesday.
“We knew what we were up against playing the top team in the
conference and we just did not shoot well,” said Bill Hyden,
Pitt-Bradford coach.
Along with the Lady Panthers shooting woes, they also had far
too many turnovers against a good team.
“Our turnovers killed us,” Hyden explained. “You don’t win a lot
of games with 25 turnovers.”
Despite the loss there was reason for optimism.
“There were bright spots,” Hyden noted. “Some of our young kids
played pretty well.”
Tai Brown grabbed 13 rebounds, and Amanda Williams and Danielle
Williams had nine points apiece for the Lady Panthers.
Sara Bukas led Medaille (14-4, 10-1) with 17 points.
Pitt-Bradford (7-10, 6-5) visits Mount Aloysius College on
Saturday (2 p.m.).
