Bradford matmen victorious on Senior Night

Josh Miller celebrated Senior Night with a pin and Bradford
picked up its second straight win with a 51-12 victory over
Sheffield in Allegheny Mountain Wrestling League action on
Wednesday.

Miller, one of just three seniors, picked up the fall in the
first period of his 130-pound match.

Bradford’s other two seniors, Tim Keane at 145 and Ryan Mongillo
at heavyweight, both won by forfeit.

“I want to thank our three seniors for all their hard work as
members of this program,” said Rob Cosper, Bradford coach.

The Owls are now 3-13 on the season, but with back-to-back wins
under their belt – they beat Punxsutawney last Saturday – Cosper
likes where his team is heading.

“Our kids wrestled another pretty solid match tonight and we
picked up some big pins from James Kan, Zach Smith and Miller,” he
observed.

“Hopefully with these two wins we’ll get a little momentum
going. We seem to be headed in the right direction.”

Bradford will be back in action next Tuesday at Kane.
