PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Lake Erie College remained unbeaten in the
AMCC with a 69-52 win over Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday night.
Derrick Thornton (14 points) and Rob Williams (13) led the
winners (11-1, 6-0).
Pacing Pitt-Bradford (7-6, 4-2) was Dan Thomas (11 points).
“We turned the ball over 26 times,” UPB coach Andy Moore said.
“We shot 28 percent for the game. That’s a combination for
disaster.
“Lake Erie is very good. They are the best team in the league.
They pressure you and play good man-to-man. We weren’t up to the
challenge.”
The Panthers have lost four straight.
“We have a lot of work to do,” Moore admitted. “We haven’t
played very well the last four games. It’s a mental thing. We have
to get our confidence back. That’s a hard thing to do.”
The Panthers host Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday.
