The Bradford Township Police have no suspects in the armed
robbery of the Kwik Fill on South Avenue Sunday afternoon but do
have some promising leads, said Officer Tim Gigliotti on
Friday.
“It’s an ongoing investigation,” Gigliotti said. “We have
several leads we’re following up on at this point.”
He said the Bradford Township Police are the sole agency
investigating the robbery but added that other agencies have been
offering information.
Gigliotti is asking for the public’s help in watching out for
the car used in the robbery, an older model, light blue Chevy
Lumina, possibly a four-door.
The gas station/convenience store at 713 South Ave. was robbed
at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday when one black male, about
6-foot-4-inches tall, weighing about 240 pounds, entered the store
and asked for a pack of cigarettes, police said.
The attendant, Dave Kramer, was getting the cigarettes when the
man drew a semi-automatic handgun and pressed it to Kramer’s
temple, demanding money from the store safe, police said. The
robber left the store with a National City bank bag holding an
undisclosed amount of cash.
Gigliotti said Friday that police are not releasing how much
money was taken in the robbery.
He said one other person, believed to be black, was waiting in
the car for the robber and drove away, headed south. Police were
unsure if the driver was a man or woman.
Gigliotti said no other details are being released at this
point. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to
contact Bradford Township Police.
