An attendant at the Kwik Fill gas station-convenience store on
South Avenue Sunday afternoon was taken to the hospital for
treatment of “chest pains/shock,” after witnessing a robbery at the
store.
Dave Kramer of Bradford, the assistant manager at the Kwik Fill,
was the clerk on duty when the robbery happened, according to an
attendant at the store Sunday night.
According to Bradford Township Police, a light blue Chevy Lumina
with two occupants pulled up to the gasoline pumps at the store,
located at 713 South Ave., at 12:25 p.m. A black male standing
about 6-foot-4-inches tall and weighing about 240 pounds entered
the store and asked for a pack of cigarettes.
As Kramer was getting the cigarettes, the “customer” drew a
semi-automatic handgun and pressed it to the attendant’s temple,
police said, demanding money from the store safe.
The robber, wearing a dark or black jacket and pants, took a
National City Bank bag holding an undetermined amount of cash and
then fled the scene in the Lumina, traveling south on South Avenue,
police said.
Kramer, who appeared to be in shock, police said, was taken to
the hospital for a complaint of chest pains.
The Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Department Fire Police
assisted in shutting down a portion of U.S. Route 219 for a period
of time.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or
who may have seen the Lumina to contact Bradford Township
Police.
Kramer was not immediately available for more information when
contacted at his home Sunday.
There was no further information available at press time.
