Clearfield claimed 10 of 13 matches en route to a 54-9 win over
Bradford in high school wrestling action Tuesday.

Earning wins for the Owls were Zach Smith at 119 pounds, Jake
McMurtrie at 130 and Tim Keane at 145.

Smith decisioned Cody Billote 6-0, McMurtrie decisioned Anthony
Schultz 8-6 and Keane earned a 10-3 decision over Richie Queen.

“Tim, Jake and Zach wrestled real well,” noted Rob Cosper,
Bradford coach. “Overall, the score looks pretty bad, but our kids
were trying to improve on the mistakes they had from this weekend
(0-5 at the Warren Duals).

“It’s not going to happen over night. We are trying to work to
improve.”

The Owls, 0-6, look to pick up their first win Thursday hosting
Cameron County.
