Taiasha Brown scored 21 points and Katie Moore added 20 points
as Pitt-Bradford registered its third straight win with a 64-51
Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference decision over Penn State
Altoona at the Sport & Fitness Center on Wednesday.
Brown, who also had 14 rebounds, was 7-for-10 from the field and
Moore was 8-for-13 from the floor as the Lady Panthers shot 52
percent (23-for-44) from the field in the contest.
Pitt-Bradford rallied from a 7-6 deficit with an 18-3 run to
open a 24-10 bulge with 9:17 left in the first half.
Although the Lady Panthers enjoyed a comfortable 36-20
intermission lead, the Lady Lions cut their disparity to 40-35 with
13:57 remaining.
A three-pointer by Moore then started a 10-4 spurt as
Pitt-Bradford maintained a double-digit advantage the rest of the
way.
Brittany Poorman had 13 points and Erin McGowan had 12 points
for Penn State Altoona (2-5, 1-2).
The Lady Panthers (3-4, 2-1) will host Mount Aloysius College on
Saturday (4 p.m.).
