FRANKLIN – Whitney Cline scored 10 points and collected eight
boards, but it wasn’t enough as Bradford fell 50-34 to Seneca
Valley in the championship game of the Franklin Tournament on
Saturday.
Also leading the Lady Owls were Shelly Fuhrman with eight
tallies and Katie White contributed seven marks.
“I think they wore us down. They were a big and very talented
team,” stated Bradford coach Doug Lloyd. “We played well up until
the third quarter.
“All seven players played well. It was a tough loss. It was a
good tournament to start the season to see where we are at.
“It was tough only being seven players deep because of injuries.
We have some things to improve on. If we stay positive and we work
hard I think we will have a good season.”
Bradford is now 1-1 and returns to action at Otto-Eldred on
Tuesday.
