Nichole Spindler is the new Bradford Lady Owls’ varsity softball
coach.
Spindler was approved at the Bradford Area School Board meeting
Monday night.
She takes over for veteran coach Sue Aljoe, who resigned in May
after a 20-year career.
“It was just time,” Aljoe said about stepping down. “Mary Lou
Sapko, Sis Crappio, Mary Boser and I have had a wonderful time and
met so many great people over the last 20 years.”
Aljoe said Spindler is a good choice for her replacement.
“Nichole did a terrific job when she played for us,” Aljoe
noted. “She has great knowledge of the game. I know she’ll be a
wonderful coach.
“I wish her the very best. I hope she enjoys it as much as I
have over the years.”
The board also approved Raymond Bunker as Fretz Middle School
assistant wrestling coach.
