Coudersport claimed a win in three over Otto-Eldred Tuesday in
North Tier League volleyball.
The Lady Falcons won 25-13, 25-12, 25-12.
Leading Coudy were Brooke Campbell (6 kills, 6 points, 3 aces, 2
blocks), Jessica Wilson (6 kills, 3 blocks, 10 points), Brianna
Vought (5 kills, 12 points, 4 aces) and Jordan Bright (3 blocks, 10
points, 4 aces).
“We played excellent defense tonight and had great passing that
allowed us to run our offense effectively,” said Greg Stone,
Coudersport coach.
Pacing Otto-Eldred were Courtney Halstead with 12 digs and five
kills and Melanie Schoonover with 11 digs and six assists.
Otto-Eldred (9-8, 5-8) will host Austin Thursday for Senior
Night, while Coudersport (14-2, 12-1) travels to Oswayo Valley.
In other action, Northern Potter defeated Cameron County 25-17,
25-15, 25-11.
Laura Kalasnik had nine kills, 12 points, two aces and 11 digs
to key NoPo. Also leading NoPo were Sarah Furman (8 kills, 4
points, 9 digs, 2 blocks) and Brittany Rounds (4 kills, 16 points,
3 aces, 7 digs).
Pacing Cameron County were Julia Glosek (18 digs, 2 kills),
Brandi Lyon (3 points, 2 aces, 6 digs) and Jessica Ellenberger (2
points, 1 ace, 4 digs).
Northern Potter (11-2) will travel to Smethport on Thursday,
while Cameron County (2-11) hosts Port Allegany the same
evening.
Elsewhere, Oswayo Valley claimed a 25-22, 25-15, 25-15 win over
Austin.
Brittany Kellogg had 10 kills, five points and two blocks for
the Lady Green Wave, while Tanya Salada added 11 points and two
digs.
For Austin, Sonni Gordnier had four points, 12 kills, one block
and three digs and Casey Boucher had six points and two aces.
Austin (6-7) travels to Otto-Eldred on Thursday, while Oswayo
Valley (11-2,14-2) hosts Coudersport the same day.
Smethport defeated Port Allegany 25-21, 19-25, 25-22, 26-28,
15-13.
Leading the Lady Hubbers (2-11) were Matti Baker (8 blocks, 14
kills, 8 aces), Kristina Schwab (13 points, 4 aces, 8 assists, 4
digs, 3 kills), Megan Woods (4 kills, 11 digs) and Lauren
Kinniburgh (4 blocks, 5 kills).
Pacing Port Allegany (5-10, 3-10) were Kayla Raudenbush (6
blocks, 4 kills, 12 digs), Chelsea Tucker (16 kills, 16 digs),
Lauren Delacour (7 kills) and Lindsay Fox (19 assists, 3 aces).
“It was a fun match,” Port Allegany coach Meg Hutton said.
Port is at Cameron County on Thursday.
