Caitlin Persichini had 11 digs, 20 assists and 15 points to
boost Bradford (7-7) to a 25-18, 27-25, 26-28, 25-17 victory over
Ridgway in high school volleyball Thursday.
Also powering the Lady Owls were Rachel Garges (7 digs, 3 aces,
9 points), Lexie Goble (5 digs, 10 points, 10 kills), Bobbi Hopkins
(5 digs, 7 points, 5 kills), Michele Keane (10 digs, 3 aces, 11
points), Sarah Langy (5 digs, 5 points, 8 kills) and Carolyn
Breznik (5 digs).
“The first game we played very well,” said Bradford coach Judy
Abbey. “Goble, Hopkins and Langy played very well. Persichini had a
really nice overall match today. She definitely showed her
leadership. Rachel Garges played well. She had nice digs and
saves.
“This was our third game in three days but we pulled it out and
we played well as a team.”
The Bradford JVs also claimed a 25-15, 25-21 win over
Ridgway.
Bradford is at Curwensville on Monday.
