Coudy blanks ECC, 12-0

COUDERSPORT – Chris Cavallari amassed 230 yards rushing and
picked up a touchdown to carry Coudersport to a 12-0 win over Elk
County Catholic (2-2) in AML football action Friday.

The victory keeps the Falcons perfect at 4-0 on the season and
in the lead in the AML North Division standings.

Johnsonburg sits atop the South standings, also at 4-0 after a
39-0 rout of Otto-Eldred.

Coudy’s first trip to the end zone came on a three-yard push
from Adam Foust. The PAT pass attempt failed, leaving the score at
6-0 Falcons.

In the fourth quarter, the Falcons made it 12-0 when Chris
Cavallari scored on a 42-yard romp. The PAT failed again.

“We are still being inconsistent on offense,” lamented Paul
Simcoe, Falcons coach.

Kody Frederick collected 10 tackles to power the Falcons
defensively.

“Our defense played extremely well,” Simcoe noted.

The Falcons will host Port Allegany next Friday. The Gators are
currently second in the North standings heading into their game
with Kane today.
