Steve Butler, Matt Anderson and Adam Feura each scored to lead
Bradford High to a 3-0 win over St. Marys in a boys soccer game
Wednesday.
Micah Irwin was credited with one assist for the Owls (4-2), who
won their third straight game.
Micah Ridley was in goal (4 saves), getting his first shutout of
the season.
Bradford coach Wes Lohrman was pleased with his team’s
defense.
He cited Ceegan Danielson, Mark Willard, Shawn Disney and Nate
Tingley as playing well defensively.
“They were a big part of Micah Ridley getting his shutout and
allowing four shots on net,” Lohrman noted. “I was very pleased
with how they played.”
Lohrman emphasized the importance of team chemistry.
“We need to come together on team chemistry,” the coach said.
“I’m looking for our captains to step up and provide positive
leadership.
“Skill-wise we have all the pieces in place. We need the
upperclassmen and seniors to act as positive role models and give
the younger guys encouragement.”
In goal for the Dutch (4-3) was Kassius Fernandes (6 saves).
Bradford visits Coudersport on Saturday.
