Butler, Nuzzo lead Owls to win over Punxsy

PUNXSUTAWNEY – Steve Butler scored three goals and Cody Nuzzo
scored twice to power Bradford to a 7-3 win over Punxsutawney in
high school soccer Monday.

Butler also had three assists as the Owls won their second
straight to improve to 3-2.

Micah Irwin had one goal and one assist, Adam Feura had one goal
and one assist and Stephen Tingley had one assist.

In goal for the Owls were Micah Ridley and Andy Thomson,
combining on six saves.

Ryan Gotwald had two goals and Khristopher Cleary one tally for
the Chucks.

Mike Battestilli was in goal, making eight stops.

“We played a possession game and passed the ball around,” BAHS
coach Wes Lohrman said. “We played that way for the majority of the
game.

“We were able to get a lot of players in who wouldn’t normally
have a lot of playing time.”

The Owls host St. Marys at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
