Bradford snapped a two-game losing streak, defeating DuBois 4-3
in boys soccer action Thursday.
Steve Butler scored two goals and Micah Irwin one for the Owls
(2-2). The fourth Bradford goal was an own goal as Butler’s kick
deflected into the net off a DuBois defender with three minutes
left in regulation.
Micah Ridley was in goal for the Owls, making four saves.
Andy Bush, Chris Way and Kevin Ferra scored for the Beavers.
Dane Griener was in the nets, making five stops.
Cody Nuzzo and Patrick Morrisroe had assists for the
winners.
“The guys were frustrated coming out of the Clearfield game,”
BAHS coach Wes Lohrman said. “We spent Wednesday looking at some
tape. We picked out some areas we needed to work on and the guys
made the adjustments.
“We made a few minor positional changes. The guys played a full
80 minutes of possession soccer. It’s a testament to their
character today how they rallied back. The guys didn’t get down
when we trailed.”
The Owls are at Punxsutawney on Monday.
