Lady Owls claim first win over Clearfield

CLEARFIELD -ðIt was a first for the Bradford High girls soccer
team Thursday night.

The unbeaten Lady Owls (3-0) knocked off Clearfield 2-1 in
overtime – the first time in the six-year history of the Lady Owls’
soccer program they defeated Clearfield.

“What a game,” said Bradford coach Tony Doriguzzi. “I’m so happy
I can’t even think of what to say.”

Bradford’s Lindsay Sherman scored the winning goal on an assist
from Leah Anderson.

The Lady Owls’ other goal was from Meagan Little with an assist
from Danielle Harbaugh.

Chelsea Rinfrette was in goal for the Lady Owls, making eight
saves.

“I must say that Katie White, Leah Anderson and Bri Gleason all
played well for us today,” praised Doriguzzi.

Clearfield’s only goal was from Julianna Howell.

Meghan Doyles was in goal for the Lady Bisons. She made nine
saves.

Bradford returns to action Monday hosting DuBois.

In JV action, Bradford won 1-0.
